Salesian Order of Priests and the Rev. Stephen Whelan

More than three decades ago, Joey Piscitelli, a former altar boy at the Salesian order of priests, was allegedly sexually molested. Piscitelli, now aged 50, was a student at Salesian High School in Richmond where vice principal Rev. Stephen Whelan allegedly abused him between 1969 and 1971. The school did nothing to stop the sexual abuse and did not apologize. The Contra Costa County found the Salesian order of priests and the Rev. Stephen Whelan equally responsible for the abuse and a jury awarded Piscitelli $600,000. [KNX 1070 NEWS RADIO]
