Alameda - Advanced Cell Technology filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the University of Massachusetts, Roslin Institute, Geron Corporation and Start Licensing, Inc. The patent dispute involved certain nuclear transfer cloning patents and patent applications owned or licensed by the defendants. Under the terms of the settlement agreement, Start Licensing agreed to pay Advanced Cell an initial payment of $500,000 and milestone payments of up to $750,000.
