Pittston, PA: In March of 2003, Sordoni Construction Services Inc. was awarded a $17.4 million contract to build part of the Joseph M. McDade terminal at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Changes during construction pushed the contract up to $19.2 million. Sordoni filed a lawsuit against the airport claiming it was responsible for delays on the terminal. Sordoni will be paid $325,000 for delays and $673,093 for outstanding change orders submitted under its general construction contract on the project. (Jan-19-07)
