Stratagene

In 2004, Third Wave filed a patent infringement lawsuit related to PCR technology. Stratagene was accused that its qPCR and RT-PCR reagents violated some of the more than 30 patents on Third Wave's Invader product line. Stratagene and Third Wave settled the patent infringement case in an out of court settlement in relation to the suit currently in the Federal Circuit in Washington DC.
