Bradenton, FL: Brothers Jeremy Hart, 21, and Aramis Mapps, 17 sued the Manatee County Sheriff's Department for being falsely accused in a drive-by shooting. The lawsuit claimed they were traveling home in their mother's car on May 20, 2005, when police cruisers surrounded them, pointed guns at them, threatened to shoot, handcuffed them, and placed them in cruisers without apparent explanations. The deputies believed they were involved in a drive-by shooting that occurred that same day but neither brother was charged due to lack of evidence connecting the two.
