Pawtucket, RI: (Feb-22-07) Carmen Ducharme was severely injured when her van was struck by a city police cruiser in pursuit of a car reported stolen out of Pawtucket on New Years Eve of 2001. She suffered severe internal injuries and was listed in critical condition when taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Due to the risk of extensive potential liability, city lawyers turned the case over to RI Interlocal Risk Management Trust, the city's insurers.
