Robert Eberhart, Jonathan Holzaepfel, and Thomas King

Portsmouth, NH: (Mar-08-07) The US government filed a lawsuit stemming from allegations by a whistleblower that the doctors, Robert Eberhart, Jonathan Holzaepfel, and Thomas King received inflated rent payments from HealthSouth, which operated a sports medicine facility in return for patient referrals. Eberhart and Holzaepfel are both partners in the Seacoast Trust LLP, which rented space to HealthSouth between 1996 and 2006. King was a partner in the trust until March 2004. A settlement reached will have Drs. Eberhart, Holzaepfel, and King pay $275,000 of the settlement, while HealthSouth Corp. will pay the additional $775,000. [SEA COAST ONLINE: INFLATED RENT]
