Manhattan, NY: (Mar-15-07) In a long ensuing legal battle with its insurers, World Trade Center leaseholder Larry Silverstein reached a settlement and recent pay out of an additional $12.5 million from one of its insurers, TIG Insurance. The settlement amount is a crucial step towards rebuilding Lower Manhattan. Silverstein and workers from the World Trade Center site rallied outside a midtown insurance conference to put pressure on two other insurers who Silverstein says still owe up to $800 million.
