Knightstown School District

Knightstown, IN: (Mar-21-07) Three students of the Knightstown Intermediate School were expelled for making a movie in which evil teddy bears attack a teacher. The main character in the movie "The Teddy Bear Master" orders stuffed animals to kill a teacher who had embarrassed them, so students battle the toy beasts. Officials of the Charles A. Beard School Corp. expelled the students who made the film, saying it was disruptive and a threat to Knightstown Intermediate School teacher Dan Clevenger. In a settlement reached, the three students will share a settlement of $69,000 for their civil rights lawsuit. The school superintendent said that the school district's insurance company will cover the cost of the $69,000 settlement. [BOSTON HERALD: EXPELLED FILM STUDENTS]
