Las Vegas, NV: (Mar-29-07) Three homeless men were arrested for violating a city ordinance in Las Vegas, when they were found sleeping next to human feces. The three sued the city for wrongful arrest, being arrested for a nonexistent city ordinance as well as violation of civil rights. David Hicks claimed the feces in question was over two hundred feet away and that he had no idea it was even there. He says police would not have even made the arrests if they were not homeless. In a settlement, the city of Las Vegas agreed to pay $45,000 to the three, admitting that the city had violated the constitution. [KVBC NEWS: HOMELESS ARRESTS]
