Chicago, IL: (Apr-10-07) The city of Chicago reached a settlement with two of the four men who were wrongfully convicted in the 1986 rape and murder of medical student Lori Roscetti. Larry Ollins and Omar Saunders, who were falsely arrested and convicted in 1988 to life in prison, were later exonerated following DNA evidence. Three of the four who were arrested were released with monetary settlements made out to them. Larry Ollins, Omar Saunders, and Calvin Ollins were acquitted while Marcellius Bradford, who had since been convicted of an unrelated crime, was not released from prison. Duane Roach and Eddie "Bo" Harris pleaded guilty in 2004 to Roscetti's rape and murder, and each was sentenced to 75 years in prison. DNA testing has confirmed the men committed the crime. In a settlement reached, Larry Ollins and Omar Saunders will each receive $4 million from the city.
