Atlantic City, NJ: (Apr-18-07) Atlantic City Mayor Bob Levy filed suit against the city in 2004, initially over pension issues and pay claims, and then later alleged retaliation after he blew the whistle on Mayor Lorenzo Langford. Levy agreed to enter binding arbitration in April 2006 after his mayoral victory over Langford put him in the uncomfortable position of being both the suit's plaintiff and defendant. The arbitrator, retired Judge Edwin E. Nathons, sided with Levy, He ruled Levy was due $62,140 plus interest in back pay, as well as $62,686 in attorney fees and costs.
