Fernando Diaz-Valdes, Bruce Headley, Brad Martin
San Diego, CA:(May-14-07) Jess Jackson filed suit against agents Fernando Diaz-Valdes and Brad Martin, who were among the eight defendants, including trainer Bruce Headley, named in a lawsuit originally filed in San Diego Superior Court in September 2005. The suit alleged that the two agents were involved in a horse sale fraud. Diaz-Valdes was accused of conspiring with others to defraud Jackson on certain private horse transactions. Diaz-Valdes had in pleadings, denied any wrongdoing, and had filed defamation and libel cross-claims against Jackson. Martin, who was accused of conspiring with others to defraud Jackson on public auction transactions, pleaded guilty and agreed to a court judgment of $250,000. Martin is still an active defendant in a related Kentucky federal lawsuit involving Jackson's purchase of the former Buckram Oak Farm. Trainer Bruce Headley agreed to pay Jackson $900,000 resolving fraud allegations against him.
