Jeffrey McMahon
Washington, DC: (Jun-21-07) The US Securities and Exchange Commission brought charges against Enron's former chief financial officer, Jeffrey McMahon, alleging that he helped the company commit fraud. McMahon, who has been the president of Houston-based Zilkha Biomass Energy since 2004, neither admitted nor denied the Securities and Exchange Commission allegations.
In a settlement reached, he agreed to pay $300,000 to settle the business fraud allegations against him. Further, as part of the settlement agreement, McMahon will be barred from serving as an officer or director of a public company for five years, and will be suspended as an accountant for at least three years.
