Dr. Arlene Baluyut
This is a settlement for the Medical Malpractice lawsuit.
Frankfort, KY: (Jul-23-07) The Kentucky Board of Dentistry brought a medical malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Arlene Baluyut, claiming that she had 44 charges against her which included failing to keep proper documentation on patients and allowing assistants to perform dental procedures they were not qualified to perform. In a settlement reached, the Kentucky Board of Dentistry ordered Baluyut's dental license to be suspended for 60 consecutive days to be completed by Jan. 31, 2008. She must file a written notice to the board by Aug. 10 stating the dates of her suspension. While Baluyut may not practice during that time, she is allowed to hire another dentist to treat her patients or make a written referral for a patient. Further, she must pay the board $30,000 for investigative costs on a payment plan of $10,000 by Dec. 31 and an additional $10,000 on by Dec. 31 of 2008 and 2009.
