Harry Wolfer

Palatka, FL: (Jul-31-07) The family of Maggie Ricks, an Interlachen girl, filed a lawsuit against Harry Wolfer, after his pit bull attacked the four-year-old girl. Ricks received intensive leg injuries causing her to wear a brace the rest of her life. The bites also resulted in the loss of a significant portion of the muscles in her leg. The dog's owner, Wolfer, agreed to a consent judgment and agreed to pay $200,000 to resolve the litigation. Though the dog was euthanized after the incident, currently Wolfer has another pit bull that neighbors say barks aggressively at people. [PALATKA DAILY NEWS: PIT BULL BITE]
