Larry Nighswander
Athens, OH: (Aug-27-07) Larry Nighswander, a former Ohio University professor, and Rebecca Humes, a female student, have reached a settlement in a recent lawsuit, over the disposition of some semi-nude photos the professor took of his student. Nighswander was once the director of Ohio University's School of Visual Communication. Humes sued Nighswander for sexual harassment reached a $350,000 settlement.
In a recent suit, Humes alleged that Nighswander breached the settlement agreement and engaged in fraudulent misrepresentation. She claimed that Nighswander broke the agreement that had settled her earlier federal lawsuit against him, by keeping possession of some partially nude images of her that he had promised to destroy or get rid of. Humes sued Nighswander in Fairfield County in June 2006. As part of the settlement reached, Nighswander has agreed to pay his former student Humes $10,000 to resolve her latest legal claims against him. Sources state that he also risks having to pay another $500,000 if he is caught violating the settlement terms. [ATHENS NEWS: STUDENT PHOTOS]
