Viola Trevino
Albuquerque, NM: (Sep-14-07) Steve Barreras paid $20,000 in child support to Viola Trevino, after Mobile Blood Services issued a false paternity test to him. Barreras brought a lawsuit after it was proven that the DNA testing company gave him phony results. The owner of Mobile Blood Services, David Quintana, claimed that his company has always been honest. He said he feels betrayed by a former employee, Pamale Flores, who is accused of working with Trevino to falsify a DNA test. Trevino remains in federal custody for lying about having a baby on her tax forms. She also faces a criminal trial for fraud and kidnapping after she misrepresented a friend's daughter as her own in court. As part of a settlement reached, an Albuquerque jury awarded Steve Barreras $1.2 million, ending the lawsuit.
