Student Molestation

Palo Alto, CA: (Oct-07-07) An unnamed woman brought a lawsuit against the Palo Alto Unified School District, alleging that former Jordan Middle School teacher William Giordano molested her. The suit was filed against Palo Alto Unified in 2005, which sources claim was 12 years after the abuse. The plaintiff then filed her civil lawsuit against Giordano and the district in July 2006. She stated that the school officials did nothing to stop the abuse. The school fought its way out of the lawsuit by taking advantage of a legal technicality, claiming that the student failed to file a claim, the precursor to a lawsuit, against the district within six months of allegedly being molested.
