Inmate Manslaughter

Davidson County, NC: (Jan-09-07) The family of Carlos-Claros Castro, an inmate who died in the Davidson County jail in Jan. 2007, brought a wrongful death lawsuit against the county, alleging that the death occurred because the County officials did not properly train its officers. Sources stated that Castro died in the jail during a struggle with two detention officers, Brandon Huie and Ronald Parker. Both are currently serving time for involuntary manslaughter.
