Store Closing

Pittsburgh, PA: (Jan-13-08) The Pennsylvania Attorney General's office brought charges against Prizant's, alleging that the flooring company went out of business without warning. The suit claimed that the company, which shut 10 stores in December 2007, engaged in deceptive practices for taking orders until the day it closed its stores. In a recent development, sources close to the case stated that the company had reached a settlement with the Pennsylvania Attorney General, agreeing to a $100,000 payout. Under the deal, Prizant's agreed to fill any orders or refund money for customers, as long as the customer makes a claim with the Attorney General's office within the next 30 days.
