London, UK: (Jan-18-08) British actress Leslie Ash brought a medical malpractice lawsuit against London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, alleging that she contracted a dangerous infection, due to the hospital's negligence. Records state that the celebrity contracted Methicillin-Sensitive Staphylococcus Aureus after seeking treatment at the facility for a punctured lung and two cracked ribs she sustained by falling off her bed onto a table.
As part of a settlement reached, sources close to the case revealed that the hospital agreed to pay the actress $10 million in an out-of-court settlement to resolve allegations.
