Prowler Arrest
Las Vegas, NV: (Jan-21-08) Frankie Davis, a man whose neck was broken during his arrest in 2001, brought charges against the Las Vegas police, alleging that the incident at a downtown Las Vegas casino left him seriously injured. In his suit, Davis had accused Officer David Miller of battery and excessive force in the November 2001 arrest at the Las Vegas Club. In his defense, Miller stated that he responded after two security officers took Davis into custody for allegedly prowling on the 15th floor.
As part of a settlement reached, sources stated that Davis received a $250,000 settlement from Las Vegas police. Records show that Davis, 39, now lives in New York and has recovered from his injuries. Davis also reached a confidential settlement with the Las Vegas Club several years ago.
