Resort Construction
Boise, ID: (Jan-24-08) The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) brought charges against Tamarack Resort, alleging that the facility violated the Clean Water Act during construction on the resort's property in 2005 and 2006. EPA sources claimed that the suit stemmed from a routine inspection that revealed that Tamarack had allowed polluted water from construction sites to be discharged into nearby streams and Cascade reservoir. As part of a settlement reached, Tamarack Resort agreed to pay a $185,000 penalty, resolving allegations. The settlement did not require Tamarack to admit any liability for the violations that occurred between April 2005 and April 2006.
