Food Stamp Fraud
Blount County, TN: (May-05-08) The State Department of Finance and Administration brought a lawsuit against Angela L. Teffeteller, a Blount County woman, accusing her of accepting TennCare and food stamp benefits she isn't eligible for. The 36-year-old Maryville woman was charged with nine counts of food stamp fraud, six counts of TennCare fraud, and one count of theft of services. Court papers pertaining to the case stated that Teffeteller pleaded guilty to all the charges against her.
As part of a settlement agreement reached between the two sides, Teffeteller agreed to repay the state $48,530.19 for accepting TennCare and food stamp benefits, resolving the allegations and ending all litigation in the matter.
