Medicare Fraud
Concord, NH: (May-06-08) Federal and state officials brought charges against Deborah A. Miller, of Milford, an occupational therapist in NH, and Total Body Therapy LLC, alleging that they defrauded the federal Medicaid and Medicare programs. The suit claimed that the two parties could not prove that she actually performed some services she billed in 1999, and that several other billing discrepancies date back to 1999.
Officials also alleged that some services billed in 2001 and 2002 were not performed by Miller but rather by unsupervised assistants or aides, if they were performed at all. Sources close to the dispute stated that as part of a settlement reached in the case, Deborah A. Miller agreed to pay over $200,000 to resolve the Medicaid and Medicare fraud allegations.
