Anheuser-Busch and McLaughlin & Moran agree to pay $21 million settlement in Station Nightclub fire lawsuits.

Providence, RI: (May-23-08) Several survivors of a February 2003 fire at The Station nightclub in West Warwick, brought charges against Anheuser-Busch Inc., a brewer, and McLaughlin & Moran, a Rhode Island beer distributor, alleging that they helped promote the concert, which resulted in over 200 people being injured. The suit stated that the fire began when pyrotechnics used by the rock band Great White set off the flammable soundproofing foam on the club's walls and ceiling, killing a hundred people and leaving scores injured. The suit was filed by survivors and relatives of the deceased. As part of a settlement reached in the case, Anheuser-Busch and McLaughlin & Moran agreed to pay $21 million to resolve the allegations.
