$5.5 Million in Abuse Suits Settled by Denver Archdiocese

Sixteen lawsuits and two claims against the archdiocese of Denver, filed between 1954 and 1981, were finally settled this week. The archdiocese will pay $5.5 million in settlements. This brings the total number of claims settled by the diocese since 2005 to 42. Two more suits have yet to be resolved, and the total in settlements will exceed $8.2 million.
