St. John Health Agrees to a $13.5 Million Settlement in Antitrust Class Action
This is a settlement for the Antitrust lawsuit.
A class action lawsuit that includes St. John Health of southeastern Michigan could be one step closer to being settled, as the health care provider has agreed to pay a $13.5 million settlement. St. John and the other defendants, namely Detroit Medical Center, Henry Ford Health Medical System, Mount Clemens General Hospital, Oakwood Healthcare, Bon Secours Cottage Health Services, Beaumont Hospitals and Trinity Health, are accused of violating antitrust laws by exchanging information on pay.
The settlement St. John has agreed to would cover thousands of nurses who worked at various hospitals in the Detroit area between December 2002 and December 2006. St. John operates 7 hospitals in southeastern Michigan.
