TD Banknorth Settles Investor Class Action for $50 Million
This is a settlement for the Securities/Stock Fraud lawsuit.
TD Banknorth Inc., has agreed to a $50 million settlement in its second investor class action lawsuit that challenged the fairness of the Banknorth's buyout of Toronto Dominion Bank. The purchase of TD Banknorth was completed by Toronto-Dominion in April 2007.
The terms of the settlement, once approved, will see TD Banknorth pay $50 million into a settlement fund which will also pay attorney's fees.
