NaviSite Settles Class Action for $1.67 Million
This is a settlement for the Internet/Technology lawsuit.
Final approval has been arranged by a federal judge in Baltimore, for the settlement of a class action lawsuit against the web host company NaviSite Inc. The settlement is for a reported $1.67 million to be split between 5,500 of the company's clients, and the plaintiff's lawyers.
The lawsuit resulted from a loss of service by NaviSite to its clients, after the web-hosting company attempted to move some servers from California to Massachusetts, which resulted in service problems for 2 weeks. While the company did solve the problems, many clients had suffered damage and losses as a result of loss of service and email interruptions.
