Taser Death Suit Settled
The lawsuit against a North Carolina police officer accused of killing a 17-year old with a taser, has been settled. The family will receive the sum of $625,000.
Darryl Turner was killed in 2008 during a confrontation with the police officer, Jerry Dawson, outside a convenience store. The officer was found to have violated police procedure by holding the trigger for 37 seconds, long enough to disrupt Turner's heart beat.
