Victim of Sexual Attack Awarded $1.4 Million
This is a settlement for the Personal Injury lawsuit.
A woman who suffered a sexual attack when she was 9 years old has successfully sued her attacker, James Henry Abel, for sexual battery.
The woman, who filed the suit when she turned 18, was awarded a settlement of $1.5, million. The suit was subsequently settled for $1.4 million.
Abel was convicted earlier and sentenced to 40 years in jail.
