Senior Awarded $1.19 Million in Bus Accident Lawsuit
This is a settlement for the Personal Injury lawsuit.
San Francisco, CA: An 89-year old senior who was thrown from his seat on a bus when the vehicle hit a tree burl, has been awarded a settlement of $1,189,782.58.
Edwin M. Wilson sustained injuries to his right femur on July 22, 2007, as a result of the accident, and subsequently underwent open reduction-internal fixation surgery with hardware.
In his suit, Mr. Wilson alleged that the vehicle, which transports riders up and down the hills on the exclusive club's 2,700-acre campground, reportedly jerked, throwing him from his seat onto the floor. He maintained that the right front tire of the bus struck a tree burl and he slid off the bench partly because there were no seatbelts.
