Spectranetics Settles Securities Class Action for $8.5M

Colorado Springs, CO: Specranetics, a company that manufactures medical lasers, has settled a securities class action for $8.5 million. The settlement monies will be paid by the company's insurer.
The class action lawsuit alleged that Spectranetics broke federal securities law by making false and misleading statements and omissions. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of shareholders who bought the company's stock between March 16, 2007 and Sept. 4, 2008.
