Six Children of Woman Killed in Crash Awarded $6 Million
This is a settlement for the Wrongful Death lawsuit.
Fresno County, CA: The family of a woman who was killed when her car became sandwiched between two semi-trailer trucks have been awarded a $6 million settlement. The monies will go to Christina Louise Meza's six young daughters who range in age from 16 years to 18 weeks.
Meza's estate filed a wrongful death suit alleging that Meza was, while stopped at a red light on a foggy morning in 2008, rear-ended by a semi owned by Henkels & McCoy and operated by Martin Andrew Nelson. The impact pushed Meza's vehicle into the semi in front of her. She was killed instantly.
