Jury Awards Verdict of 8.1M in Personal Injury Case
This is a settlement for the Personal Injury lawsuit.
Cook County, IL: A jur in Cook County has awarded an $8.1 million to a man who suffered
cervical fractures and incomplete quadriplegia as a result of diving into an in-ground pool that was defectively designed and installed.
In his personal injury lawsuit, the plaintiff contended that he dove into a pool at what he assumed was the deep end - but which actually held roughly three and half feet of water. He contracted the above injuries as a result. He contended that the design in which the middle of the pool was deep and either end shallow was unusual and the need for warnings on the deck itself was particularly great.
