Injured Roofer Awarded $43K Settlement In Personal Injury Suit
This is a settlement for the Personal Injury lawsuit.
Miami, FL: A roofer who took a fall from an extension ladder in 2007, and suffered injuries to her face, including a fractured orbital floor on the left side of her face and fractured her left wrist, was recently awarded $43K in settlement of her personal injury lawsuit.
In her suit, Ana Acosta alleged that when she was working on Enrique Santos' roof the top or "fly" section of a ladder she was using slid down and caused her to fall. As a result of the injuries she sustained she had to undergo surgery, but now suffers from double vision. The jury found Acosta 60 percent liable and Santos 40 percent liable, reducing the $109,242 award.
