Michaels Stores Consumer Fraud Class Action Settlement Reached
Columbus, OH: A settlement has been reached in a consumer fraud class action lawsuit pending against Michael Stores Inc, of Ohio. Filed by William Henry, the lawsuit alleges that the craft store chain persistently and deceptively advertised its custom framing services and products as being on sale.
Anyone who purchased these products or services from an Ohio Michaels store between January 1, 2009 and October 7, 2011, may be eligible for part of the settlement. Class Members who file a valid and timely claim will be eligible to receive a cash-value certificate worth $32.50. The certificate can be used at any Michaels store in Ohio, subject to certain conditions. Certificates will be mailed within one week after the claim is received.
