Submitted all my paperwork in Oct and have heard nothing. What seems to be the problem? My cost doesn’t even begin to deal with my truck being down for 2 1/2 days without a vehicle. I need to have some answers please!

I sent all the bill that I paid for change my spark plug in my 2004 Ford F-150 and still I don’t have any answer.

Once having sent our application along with Proof of Shop Order and Payment of same; how do we know that Ford ever received our Application etc.??

  • Brenda McPherson April 12, 2016 at 6:28 pm

I filed mine an have not heard anything from anyboy!!

  • Suzanne April 19, 2016 at 5:28 pm

My 2006 f150 3rd plug broke, four years ago another one blew out, sounded like a bomb exploded, had all spark plugs and coil packs changed, now I was told I’d need to replace engine. I called Ford and was told about spark plug action suit, why won’t they do the right thing and fix engines? They will lose in the long run, won’t ever buy Ford. Look at Toyota doing recalls on frames which cost more than old vehicles but they keep costumer s buying them and happy! I’m calling a lawyer tomorrow to see if I can get Ford to fix my truck, I won’t get value for my truck, it’s trunk!

  • Pamela April 19, 2016 at 6:21 pm

I just spent 545.52 to get my spark plugs changed in my 2006 Ford F150. The dealership had my truck for 5 days because the spark plugs broke into several pieces. so frustrating. Why on earth did Ford have to make it so complicated….grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Suzanne April 19, 2016 at 7:34 pm

I just heard on a radio station Ford is saying it has on new F150 guarantee life time on it’s engine! How about fixing their 2004-2008 model engines? Sad

  • Anthony F. Catanese April 20, 2016 at 10:20 am

I have a 2008 F-150 and had the spark plugs replaced at a cost of 580.38 dollars. The mechanic I used (Harpers Ferry Auto Clinic) had trouble with 4 plugs and the total cost came to 580.38. The work was done before I received notification of the spark plug suit. I mailed in the proper forms and have yet to receive a check for my plug repairs . My truck is currently having problems (plug related) and I would like to get satisfaction. I have been waiting months now.
    Thanking you beforehand,

We submitted our claim also in October and have not heard anything! I have tried calling multiple times the phone number and going thru the steps and left a message and still no reply! Has anyone received any funds?

  • Dennis Hayes April 26, 2016 at 11:40 am

I thought I was the only one. My claim was sent July 2015 and the wait continues. Calls have been made messages have been left. Haven’t heard anything from anybody.

  • Sharon Westfield April 27, 2016 at 6:16 pm

  • Harry Allen May 1, 2016 at 7:28 pm

As I read through all the people that have filed the paper work to be reimburse for the plug issue. I have a 2006 F250 XLT Super Duty with the 5.4. Every plug broke, they had the truck for 3 days. Being the truck is loaded with option, they had to do major work, recharge A/C unit. Very costly…….why isn’t FORD doing what is in the class-action.

  • Crystal G Fox May 3, 2016 at 5:33 am

my 1998 ford f150 with the 5.4 triton, recently had a spark plug blow out, stripping the threads and iv spent $100s on the repair kit plus paid mechanics $100s plus I’m out lots on towing expenses and other undeserving costs, that’s obviously a maniufacturer malfunction… I can NOT keep paying out of my rent and utility and food funds.. I have children and can barely maintain the necessities for me and my family.

I have a 2006 Ford Experdition and I had my plugs replaced which all had to be extracted out because they broke, Which cost me around $1900.00 from AAMCO, That fallowing week I sent a form with signature request so I know ford got it , that was in 2014, I have not heard anything from Ford, I don’t think Ford is going to be paying anything to anyone.

    • Dan Skinner May 23, 2016 at 3:54 pm

How does Ford justify payment for the owners of their own vehicle`s who have performed the repair themselves? Who is going to pay me for my time? Thank you.

  • Harry Christie May 24, 2016 at 2:04 pm

I have a 2009 Ford F150 with 83,000 miles on it and on a trip to Fla, found out that I needed a tune up, as they were doing the tune up the spark plugs started to break, I thought this had been fixed since this is past the 2008 models that had the problem. Any ideas?

    • Brandon Armstrong May 24, 2016 at 8:01 pm

I believe it was October of 2008 that the heads were redesigned. Right now “5/24/2016” the 2017 models are already out or just about to come out, so check the manufacture date stamped on a plate somewhere on your truck ‘door sill or under hood’ as it may have been made before the head change and labeled as a 2009 model. that is the only explanation that makes sense, either that or the mechanic screwed you. Like did you ask to see the problem? They know you were on the road away from home? Might be a shady dealer/mechanic. You need to find the date it left assembly line and if you don’t have the elongated plug’s you might have a fraud case on your hands, if that the case try one of the news investigation guys to pressure for your money back. Good luck

      • Harry Christie May 27, 2016 at 6:06 pm

Thanks for the info. , I will check and see what I can find.

  • Craig Goggin May 26, 2016 at 7:22 pm

This recall should go back to the beginning of the 5.4, my 1999 f-150, has blown plugs out, and to expect nothing from Ford is bull. Ford needs to own up to this failure!

  • jim bennett May 28, 2016 at 1:26 am

i sent my paper work in twice and still no reply ??????????????

  • My 2007 F150 had to have plugs replaced at 83,000 miles. Cost $586. Sent my claim form in on 10/26/15 Haven’t heard a thing. Looks like Ford is going to screw us again by only paying a percentage of the cost of the sparkplugs needed to fix the problem. I don’t see where any labor costs are figured in at all, and that is where most of the expense was. Will be interesting to see if we get more than $50 reimbursement. I will never buy another Ford product.

When will I be compensated? Still waiting and nothing has been done. Ford frustration. Life long supporter thinking of other manufacturers to move onto. Does anyone know. Also the bolt on the exhaust manifold broke a few yes ago. Another continuous problem on the 04-08 5.4 L Ford fails to accept…did I mention the undersized front rotors. Oh and lets add the fuel injector issues I had at 50k mi and the endless trips to dealership in correcting it. What a nightmare those months were. Again another engineering blunder they refuse to address.

Point is I understand problems happen, resolutions rectified this and I’m still out the 500+ for issues that I’m still waiting to be compensated for. WHEN WILL THEY MAKE GOOD ON THIS ONE OF MANY ISSUES???

    CONFUSED DISAPPOINTED AND BITTER

Why was the 2006-2008 Mercury Mountaineer with the same defective spark plugs not included in the settlement? Can’t find a reason for this anywhere. Could it be that the plugs do not break in these vehicles?

I filed my claim back in 2015! Just do not understand why we can not get our funds. I sold mine and went with a Chev. I thought the attorneys got the cash???

  • Julian June 26, 2016 at 10:09 am

I filed my claim back in October of 2015 and have received no compensation so far. Shouldn’t the suit be settled by now and complainants be getting the funds that are due to them? Are just the attorneys reaping the benefits of this suit?

  • Greg Stewart June 29, 2016 at 1:21 am

Submitted in 2015 electronically. Have zero feedback on whether my claim was received or approved! Shame on Ford . A simple response is the least they can provide. This was my first Ford after owning Chevy all my life.

    Step it up Ford !

  • Jim Highfill July 19, 2016 at 7:48 pm

“FORD”. Pay up suckers. Dodge is about to get more popular.

    • Dan Skinner July 20, 2016 at 12:20 am

I spoke to the attorney in charge of this lawsuit. He told me since I performed the work myself I would only get a compensation percentage of what I spent in parts which I think is crap. Ford basically says F. You because you`re mechanically incline and they benefit from you doing the work yourself. My wage is $40 and hour for a 8 hours and tools bought to perform the job, plus the actual spark plugs, anti sieze , magnetic extension socket ect should be part of my lawsuit percentage. I will definately look at other makes of truck on my next one. I have always been a Ford truck person since 1989 on my first Bronco. My last truck was like a lake home mortgage and this is what we get in return. We as a whole in the US control the sales for them. It would be a shame for them to go bankrupt over a mistake they created. man up and do what`s right.

  • Jaime villa July 20, 2016 at 8:19 pm

Problem spent on Spark plugs about 600 and engine about 8 thousand on Ford F-150 Lariat V-8 Tinton

  • Donley West July 23, 2016 at 5:31 pm

We filed all the required paperwork last December and have never heard a thing. When is this expected to be settled. We also feel there should be a compensation for time without our vehicle. Very inconvenient.

  • Kevin Keenan July 26, 2016 at 3:41 pm

I to spent over $700.00 at a Ford Dealership to have my plugs replaced. I mail all of my documentation in over 6 months ago and have not heard anything back. The recording says payment distribution in the spring of 2016. That time frame came and went and sill waiting. If there anyone to contact or talk to?

  • Karen Dutcher July 26, 2016 at 5:35 pm

I sent in my paperwork the end of 2015. I have not heard anything also. Makes you wonder if you will ever hear anything. Has anyone heard of anyone hearing anything?

I mailed my forms on 8 DEC 2015 and was signed for by your Agent Sonny C Runyons on 11 DEC 2015 at 9:48 am please let me know how this case is going.
