Female truck driver, Rosemarie Skiff, complained to her supervisor about being harassed by her male co workers. After nothing was done to solve the problem, Skiff went to the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. A lawsuit was filed alleging repeated harassment from supervisors and employees that ranged from vulgar language to potentially criminal misconduct, including engine tampering and sabotaged brakes. Skiff was awarded a $250,000 settlement for violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
