Fred Fuller of Fred Fuller Oil Company

Five women who worked for the prominent business man claimed they were harassed. After filing claims agaisnt their employer, the women were then fired or forced to quit. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit against Fuller and won an $875,000 settlement to be distributed among the women. The settlement also requires Fuller to hire an independent agent to receive, investigate and make recommendations concerning all complaints of gender harassment. Fuller must strengthen the company's harassment policies and provide training to his managers without him being present. He will also have to undergo four 2 hour sensitivity training sessions and report every three months to the EEOC concerning complaints received. (July-01-05) [FOSTERS]
