Beverly Enterprises Inc.

Over two dozen investigations were looking into elder abuse and neglect at twelve Arkansas nursing homes. Beverly Enterprises has agreed to pay a $1 million settlement into the state Medicaid Program Trust Fund and spend $500,000 to better train nursing home staff at its homes. They will establish programs to recognize, treat, and prevent pressure sores as well as reduce falls by residents. (Oct-04-05) [ARKANSAS NEWS]
