City of Walnut Creek

Six former employees of the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts filed a lawsuit alleging harassment and retaliation by center manager Scott Denison. The lawsuit also claimed the city and the Recreation and Community Services arts director, Gary Pokorny, failed to protect the employees from verbal abuse and intimidation. Walnut Creek has agreed to pay the former employees a $1.1 million settlement. (Oct-25-05) [CONTRA COSTA TIMES]
