At the age of 72, Audrey Gould brought her daughters into the business in a bid to keep her clients in the family. Gould claimed her male colleagues drove her away after they discovered her 1,000 clients, $600 million in assets under management, and $5 million in annual commissions would not be divided amongst themselves after she retired.
