Waste Services Inc.

Waste Management Inc. filed a lawsuit against its smaller trash hauler rival regarding the hiring of executive Charles Wilcox in 2004. Wilcox was Waste Management's vice president of market planning and development before joining Waste Services as president and chief operating officer. Waste Management alleged Wilcox breached his contract and a non-competition agreement when he joined Waste Services. Waste Services has agreed to pay $100,000 to Waste Management.
