WesTech Solutions Corp.

Salt Lake City, UT: The Labor Department sued Corona-based Internet services firm WesTech Solutions in 2005 after an investigation by the benefits administration unit. WesTech had allegedly been mixing employee contributions with the general corporate account and failing to deposit those contributions into the company's 401(k) plan. The owner of WesTech, Donald Cantral, agreed to pay back $14,883 to the firm's 401(k) plan and 20 former employees, according to a settlement with the US Department of Labor. The amount has to be paid within 30 days and will be turned over to an independent attorney who will try to locate the former employees and repay them. Cantral was also fined nearly $3,000 to cover attorney fees. (Jan-22-07) [PRESS ENTERPIRSE: WESTECH 401K]
