Poquoson, VA: (Feb-15-07) Bill Fordham, a seven year employee of the police department, sued the city, claiming officials wrongfully fired him and made slanderous comments to prevent him from getting another job in law enforcement. The city has settled the wrongful termination and defamation lawsuit by paying Fordham $1.1 million and reinstating him to his former position.
