Rick Barnett

Panama City, FL: (Apr-26-07) Lindsey Nicole Mincey and Wanda Taylor filed suit against former Bay County Property Appraiser Rick Barnett, accusing him of sexually harassing them. Though the type of harassment was not discussed publicly, documents showed that Barnett gave Mincey a hand-written, sexually explicit letter that Barnett said he wrote about her. In a mediated settlement, Mincey, an employee at the property appraiser's office, will receive $100,000 and Taylor will get $60,000. The women would be responsible for their own legal expenses. Though Barnett agreed to the cash settlement, he did not admit to the allegations or any wrongdoing.
