Welfare Workers Harassment
New York, NY: (Oct-15-07) Three city welfare workers brought charges against fire supervisor Serena Reaves-Cain, alleging that they were sexually harassed by her. The suit claimed that Reaves-Cain turned their Bronx office into a sex charged den. She was accused of making improper sexual advances towards the three, which included hugging the women, pushing her breasts against theirs and slapping them on the behind. Reaves-Cain also rattled her crew when she proposed raising money with a pinup calendar and pulled down employee Clara Luz Badia's shirt to expose her breasts, the suit said.
In a settlement reached, the city agreed to settle the case with a nearly $400,000 payout. As part of the deal, the Human Resources Administration is also moving to fire supervisor Serena Reaves-Cain. [NEW YORK DAILY NEWS: WELFARE WORKERS' HARASSMENT]
